Hello, Hello!

Hey everyone! After popular request, I've decided to start a blog to share all of my best finds when it comes to affordable fashion and beauty! I've definitely developed a knack for staying in style on a budget, which I know is a struggle that not only I face. I hope that people are able to look to my blog and instagram for advice and other tips and tricks to develop their own sense of style within their budget.

I guess that I'll start with a little introduction about myself! I am weeks away from being a college graduate with my degree in Fashion Design! Woohoo! I hadn't even touched a sewing machine until I started college, but I've always had a love for fashion and styling. It's exciting now to be able to incorporate the passion I've always had for fashion with my talents and skills I've acquired through college to create my own items! Aside of my love for fashion, I am OBSESSED with bulldogs, I drink way too much coffee, my favorite color is pastel pink (even though I'm often spotted in all black outfit), I play a little guitar, and I make a pretty impressive PB&J.

SO, what started my deal hunting hobby?!

There are so many designers and fashion influencers that have great style, AND can afford to purchase all of the newest name brands like Gucci, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, and so much more. I however, am on a budget of a college girl with student loans! (Boo!) Let's not forget that some of the cutest looks, including exact look-a-likes to those high0end designers, can be attained at stores like H&M, Zara, Primark, and even Walmart or Target. However, I also know there is a lot of controversy when it comes to supporting brands that promote fast fashion. If you're passionate about sustainability and don't want to support the larger fast-fashion companies, that's fine too! These same looks can be created with thrift store finds, consignment shop finds, or even with things in the back of your closet that you haven't worn in 5 years. One thing I've learned about fashion is everything comes full circle! Of course that's not to say you shouldn't do a thorough closet clean out every once in a while, but I always try to save those staple pieces like basic sweaters, shirts, pants, or the unique pieces that I loved but went out of style... they're destined to come back!

I also have a passion for designing and creating my own pieces as a designer, and so I'm excited to share some of my own pieces with you all... eventually making my creations available for purchase! I hope you find my pages helpful and that I can inspire you to express yourself through AFFORDABLE fashion!

xoxo,

Rachel
