Full Face of Drug-store make-up!

Hi guys! Since my Nordstrom money-saving post and Clothes Mentor "how much can I get for under $100" seemed to be so well-liked, I decided to stay on the "save money" train!! Today I am going to share with you my daily make-up products that are ALL drug-store brand and ALL (except my face moisturizer) under $20 each! Again, you don't have to spend a ton of money to dress fashionably, you don't have to spend a ton of money to stock up on make-up!

MOISTURIZE!

SO. First thing's first, I always moisturize before I go to bed and before I apply make-up with the L'Oreal Hydra Genius Daily Liquid Care for Normal/Dry Skin. I've really noticed a difference since starting to use this, and my face feels immediately cool and refreshed when I apply. It retails for $17.99, but the bottle is a great size, and I've had my one bottle for over a year and I still have about 1/4 of the bottle left. I love this stuff! I never really tried any face moisturizers before this one, and I've had great success with it!

FOUNDATION!

Next, I've tried a ton of different foundations and found quite a few I've liked. The problem is I always seem to run out when I don't feel like dropping $20 for a new bottle. But foundation is my daily make-up must. Even if I don't contour, wear eyeshadow, etc. Mascara and foundation are my daily musts. SO, I found this Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation for only $4.97 at Walmart and decided to give it a try! I love it! It is definitely more of a full coverage foundation, and I always apply with a damp beauty blender (usually Elf brand unless I find cheaper), and it stays on all day. My only complaint is that it is a bit dry and shows some cracks throughout the day, but I just attribute that to its matte formula. I usually wear shades Ivory or True Beige, depending on if it is winter where I don't get much sun, or the summer when I am a little more tan!

I also am a huge Jeffree Star fan, and he raved about the Make-Up Revolution brand at Ulta. Their Fast Base Stick Foundation is the bomb. First, I love the conveniency of the stick. I just apply directly to my face and blend with a damp make-up sponge. There is no mess involved and I love it. It is also easy to layer. For those days I am in a hurry and don't care about full coverage as much as I do just hiding the redness and small blemishes on my face, I just use a little. When I do my full face I use a little more and the coverage is great. Like Jeffree said in his review, it is a little dewey unlike the Rimmel Matte Finish I talked about before, but I just set it with a finishing power and it works great. I don't use concealer but I'm probably going to invest in the Make-Up Revolution concealer next because people RAVE about it. Oh, and the stick foundation is only $9.00... Un. Real.

CONTOUR THOSE CHEEK BONES, GIRL

Okay, so next I usually do my contouring. I do this before using my setting powder because I always seem to go heavy on my bronzer, and I use my setting power and face brush to blend my contour to look more natural. I've been using the ULTA brand Matte Bronzer for a while now, and I love it. Best part, it's only $10.00. A lot of bronzers I've tried are very cool toned and have gray undertones, which I don't love for my skin tone. I prefer a more warm undertone for my bronzer and this one has been perfect. (DO be careful, warm bronzers can make you look a little orange if you put too much on!)

LET'S BAKE

Next I use my Elf Perfect Finish HD Powder to set my foundation (and fix my probably horrible contouring, I'm no make-up artist LOL). I love this stuff, and to be honest, I've felt the same about all of the translucent powders I've used. They all do the same thing for me. This powder retails for $4.00 and works great!

OH STOP, YOU'RE MAKING ME BLUSH!

I only use a little bit of blush just on my cheekbones. I have naturally red cheeks so I don't like to use too much because I don't want to look like a tomato. I do like to add a little just to give my face a little color after using the full coverage foundation. The blush I've been using forever is the Elf Mellow Mauve Blush that retails for only $4.99. Such a good price, and has great pigment and color.

THAT HIGHLIGHT, THO.

To finish up my face of make-up, I add a few swipes of my favorite highlighters. I don't really use concealer and stuff like that, so after foundation, bronzer, setting power, and blush, my highlight usually completes my face. ULTA's brand of make-up has a really great and pigment highlighter. Their ULTA Illuminator Yellow Diamond shade is one of my go-tos. It retails for about $10.00. I've used cheaper highlights, but they never have the pigment I want. Highlight is one thing I don't SUPER cheap out on, but $10.00 still isn't too high of a price! Now, if you're looking to splurge on a make-up product, I'll be honest with you... I am OBSESSED with Jeffree Star's Platinum Ice Pro Palette. My favorite shade is the pink chill, and everytime I wear it I get at least one compliment saying "OMG is that pink highlighter... that's awesome!" It's so beautiful, and SO shiny. It will make you look literally BLINDING. Here's the situation with this, it retails for $40.00... BUT it lasts literally forever and is a great product to splurge on if you're looking to get a really high quality highlighter. Shoutout to my BFF Morgan for treating me to this amazing Skin Frost palette! Every time I use it, I die and go to highlighter heaven. BUT, the ULTA brand highlight is also amazing and gets the highlight job done!

EYEBROWS ON POINT

Now onto the brows. I have naturally thick eyebrows. Actually if I'm being honest I naturally have a unibrow but we won't get into that. *Being a woman is hard.* Anyway my eyebrow pencil of choice right now is actually a new product I just recently got called the L'Oreal Brow Stylist Definer. This pencil retails for only $8.99. What I love about this pencil is that it is super thin so it is easy to control the shape of your brow. One end of the pencil is also a spoolie so you can draw and blend all at once. I love this brow pencil!

LET'S PRIME THOSE LIDS

Before I apply my eyeshadow, I use the Elf Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer. This stuff is only $2.00, YAS GIRL. Not really much to say about this. I dab each eyelid with a little of this primer, blend it out with my finger, and then head to eyeshadow.

EYESHADOW TIME

I use a bunch of different eyeshadows. I've used Smashbox, Naked, ULTA Brand, 5-Below random palettes, and more. I'm not a make-up guru so I'm not really that picky when it comes to shadow. Some have more pigment than others, but for the most part I wear a more natural face of make-up is most of the time I don't even bother with eyeshadow more than a nude. My favorite drug store brand palette is the Loreal Paris Colour Riche La Palette Eyeshadow Nude 2. This palette retails for normally around $19.99, but you can find this also on Amazon for around 12.00! This palette has great pigment, and a good shade range from white, nude, tans, browns, and dark browns. And it comes with a decent brush to use to apply! I'm pretty sure I've seen this palette at Walmart for around $15.00, too!

LASH QUEEN

So I use two products for my lashes. First I use the L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara Amplifier, Primer/Base White Primer. This mascara is only $5.84, and honestly makes SUCH a difference when applying ANY mascara. The L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara Black pairs great with this primer and is another affordable mascara to make your eyelashes blow people away... literally! ALSO for only $5.84.

KISS KISS

I cannot RAVE about this lipstick enough. I LOVE this stuff. It is called the Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Liquid Lip, and retails for only $7.94. The applicator is perfect and easy to use, the formula feels nice, AND when they say Super-STAY it is SOOOO right. It lasts me from the morning application before coffee, all the way through lunch and dinner, and I need a make-up cloth to take it off at night. It doesn't feel dry or crack your lips. I love this stuff, and there is a huge color selection from nudes to reds to browns. I looooove this stuff!

FINAL TOUCH!

Lastly, I use a few mists of Elf Setting Spray. It costs only $4.00, and really helps make my make-up last all day with minor wear-n-tear LOL.

AND THAT'S IT!

These are all of my go-to drug-store products I swear by and use in my daily routine! I hope this was helpful to you guys!

xoxo,

Rachel
