A Must-See in Alexandria, VA!

So I just spent the weekend right outside of Washington, D.C. I've been to D.C. a million times, but this time was the first time I stayed for the weekend. I got to see my boyfriend for the first time in just about 2 months for a fun weekend of adventures (ugh, long-distance is no fun), and we had a blast! I wasn't going to do a post on D.C. because I figured a trip to the capital was pretty self-explanatory... history, monuments, art, you know. But this time we stayed in Alexandria, VA and oh. my. gosh. SO CUTE. Our hotel was about a 5 minute walk from Old Town, VA and it was the cutest. SO many adorable restaurants, cafes, bakeries, stores, and not to mention, everyone was out walking their dog which was a literal dream come true. Needless to say, I think I'll be moving here and buying a bulldog...

First of all, the amount of photo-ops are endless. There is an adorable backdrop on every corner. Colorful brick walls, old rustic vibes, beautiful steel railings, I mean this place is just the cutest. Cute coffee shops, like the one we visited called "Killer ESP (Expresso, Sorbet, and Pies)" which had some delish cold brew coffee, and even a cool restaurant and bar like "Murphy's Irish Pub." They have bands there all the time, but unfortunately we missed the live music! Still a cool place!

Although I didn't get to spend a whole lot time here, it was the cutest place to visit and I highly suggest spending a day or two... or three, walking around Old Town, Alexandria, visiting the cute little Mom and Pop shops, grabbing a coffee at a cute cafe, and getting a nice hardy meal at one of the many restaurant options in the city.

Heres a link to check out more on the town, see more pictures, find the cutest and yummiest places to eat... you've got to check this place out!
